I was caught by the charm and poetry of this audio play! I listened to it with “wrapped attention.” Thank you for this enchanted pearl, and the dancing, and the pink clouds. A balm in these days of disquiet. THANK YOU.
Really enjoyed it! Cool story, and suitably dark too. So far just heard it as a fairy tale au premier degré, let's see if in the following days I get echoes of anything else. It's looking like you really have to understand French to follow the Hinternet these days!
Btw, there's a "transcript" button at the top. I listened for a 2nd time while reading the transcript, and it was quite surreal. Sometimes the written text went completely off the rails compared to the audio, and some chunks were even in the wrong language. Is that an intended effect, or did Substack's systems just mess up the transcription? Yet another layer of AI-fueled chaos? Either way it's quite funny, and most of the story is still there.
Just yesterday I was using openai to transcribe some recorded lectures in English, and the AI randomly spit out one of the chunks in perfect Dutch...
That's odd, I just heard it with Firefox too. The streamed audio is plain mp3, so a slightly older browser should have no trouble. Try with your phone maybe?

This was enchanting. I did indeed listen to it in the hospitable dark
